Newsom signs bill to end wiretapping lawsuits against small businesses over website cookies

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill meant to stop aggressive attorneys from using a 1967 law aimed at illegal telephone wiretapping to demand payments and settlements from small businesses for using cookies on their websites.
